Facials
-
To get the most out of your treatment, we recommend taking a few simple steps in the 48 hours beforehand. Avoid exfoliation, facial waxing, or active skincare treatments like peels, as your skin will be more sensitive.
If you have false lashes or microbladed brows, please note that some parts of the facial may need to be adapted to protect them. For those with facial hair, it’s best not to shave on the day of your appointment to avoid unnecessary irritation.
-
To ensure your skin is in the right condition for treatment, we recommend stopping all active skincare products—such as retinol, exfoliants, or acids—at least 3 days before your Hydrafacial. This helps minimise sensitivity and ensures the treatment can be performed safely and effectively.
The Hydrafacial is not suitable for the following:
Pregnancy
During breastfeeding
Roaccutane – Isotretinoin (if used in the last year)
Autoimmune skin diseases (Lupus, Scleroderma, Ehlers- Danlos syndrome)
Allergens – Shellfish (Prawns), Honey, Aspirin.
Active Viral, Bacteria or Fungal skin infections in the treatment area.
Active sunburn
Severe, active acne
Eczema, Psoriasis – skin not to be broken or irritated on face
Epilepsy/Light sensitive medication
The Hydrafacial may not suitable for the following:
Blood thinning medication - please consult your doctor beforehand
Types of skin cancer - please consult your doctor beforehand
-
To protect your skin and support the best possible results, we ask that you pause use of any active skincare products—such as retinol, vitamin A, Tretinoin, or exfoliants—for at least 3 days before your treatment. These ingredients can sensitise the skin and increase the likelihood of irritation.
Please avoid all facial hair removal treatments, including waxing, threading, or depilatory creams, for at least 7 days beforehand. If you’ve had laser hair removal, you’ll need to wait a minimum of 4 weeks before having a peel.
We recommend spacing out other advanced skin treatments too. Please leave at least 2 weeks between your peel and any microneedling, and at least 4 weeks if you’ve had fillers, skin boosters, Profhilo or similar injectable treatments. Botox should be avoided for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.
If you’ve previously had cancer, we’ll need confirmation that you’ve been in remission for at least 6 months, along with a note from your doctor before we can proceed.
-
To ensure your skin is in the right condition for microneedling, we recommend pausing any active skincare products—such as retinol, vitamin A, Tretinoin, or exfoliants—for at least 3 days before your treatment. These ingredients can make the skin more reactive and increase sensitivity.
Please avoid all facial hair removal treatments, including waxing and threading, for a minimum of 7 days prior. If you’ve had laser hair removal on the face, you’ll need to wait at least 4 weeks before booking microneedling.
Microneedling should not be combined with other facial treatments in the two weeks before your appointment. This includes peels and other advanced skin services, to avoid overstimulating the skin.
If you've recently had injectable treatments, you’ll need to wait at least 2 weeks after Botox, and 4 weeks after fillers, Profhilo, or skin boosters before proceeding.
If you’ve had cancer in the past, we kindly ask that you wait until you’ve been in remission for at least 6 months, and provide a letter from your doctor confirming you’re safe to proceed.
-
To protect your results and ensure your skin has time to settle, we’re unable to offer any facial treatments within 2 weeks of anti-wrinkle injections such as Botox.
If you've had fillers, chemical peels, or more intensive skin procedures—including microneedling, microblading, facial threads, dermaplaning, laser resurfacing or laser hair removal—we ask that you wait at least 4 weeks before booking a facial.
This allows your skin to heal fully and ensures we can carry out your treatment safely, without compromising your results or comfort.
-
We recommend choosing our Hey Mama facial which is especially designed to be pregnancy safe for expectant or postpartum mothers, supporting the changes hormonal skin goes though.
-
We’re unable to perform facials on skin affected by an active or healing cold sore. Even gentle facial massage can irritate the area, delay healing, or cause the virus to spread—both across your skin and to our equipment. For this reason, we ask that you wait until the scab has completely shed and the skin beneath has fully healed before booking.
To keep treatments safe for you and our team, it’s essential that you let us know in advance if you have a cold sore. If it isn’t disclosed prior to your appointment, and we’re unable to proceed with treatment on the day, the full service charge will still apply.
Aesthetics
Brows & Lashes
-
Please note that a patch test is required at least 48 hours before any tinting service and no appointment is necessary for this. All patch tests are renewed with us every 6 months. However, in some cases, we can provide you with a waiver form to sign if you do not wish to have a patch test prior to your eyebrow treatment. The waiver is not available for lash tint treatments.
-
You will need to book a complimentary 10 minute consultation and patch test at least 48 hours before. We will not be able to carry out your treatment without a patch test being done. All patch tests are renewed with us every 6 months. Our goal is to keep you safe, although reactions are rare, they can happen.
-
We do not recommend brow lamination or lash lift for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Pregnancy causes a change in hormones that can leave you more prone to reactions after your treatment. Regular tinting services are usually safe for during pregnancy.
Waxing
-
To make the most of your wax, it's a good idea to prepare by gently exfoliating your skin with a body scrub or mitt 48 hours before your appointment and making sure you have clean, freshly washed skin, free from moisturisers or oils.
-
You'll get the best results if you let the hair grow to about 1 cm, or the length of an eyelash, so the wax can properly adhere to the hair.
-
You will need to wear a tampon for the duration of your treatment. Do keep in mind that the area may be sensitive and you may experience more discomfort than usual.
-
Yes, you can still have a wax. However, you may experience more skin sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through. Our waxing specialists will make you as comfortable as possible during the service and we can provide pillows if required for extra support.
-
As a precaution, we recommend waiting 48 hours between waxing and tanning due to potentially increased skin sensitivity
-
It's always best to consult your doctor before you book your appointment. For prescribed creams like Retin-A or Differin, we advise that you stop use 7 days prior to your wax reservation and to not resume use until 7 days after your wax service. We will not be able to wax you if you are taking Accutane or Roaccutane. It is essential that you inform us about the medications you're taking so we can provide you with a safe waxing experience.
