Aftercare for Facials & Hydrafacials

For the first 24–48 hours

  • Keep skincare gentle. Avoid exfoliating products, retinol/retinoids, and strong actives (including acids and peels).

  • Skip heat + heavy sweating. No steam rooms, saunas, hot yoga, or intense exercise.

  • Avoid direct sun. Wear SPF daily and reapply if you’re outdoors.

  • Go light on makeup. If possible, avoid heavy makeup for the first day.

  • Hands off. Try not to touch, rub, or pick at your skin.

For the first 7 days

  • Avoid hair removal in the treated area (waxing, threading, depilatory creams, dermaplaning).

  • Avoid injectable treatments (anti-wrinkle and filler) in the week following your facial/Hydrafacial.

Product guidance

  • Stick to hydrating, barrier-supportive products (gentle cleanser, moisturiser, SPF).

  • Avoid introducing new products for a couple of days. It’s easier to keep skin calm when you don’t change too many variables at once.

  • If you’re using prescription skincare, follow your prescriber’s advice and if you’re unsure, ask us.

What’s normal

You may notice mild redness, warmth, or temporary sensitivity. Some clients also see a little congestion “movement” over the next few days. This usually settles quickly.
